Sigil was chosen to supervise the Visual Effects on a recent Samsung commercial for US and Korean markets that aired during the 2018 World Cup matches in some countries.
Vancouver Web Fest 2018 another great sucess.
Another great year for the Vancouver Webfest, the premier event in North America for Web Series and VR content. And what a busy couple of days.
This year we were asked to present the award for Best VFX in a Webseries to Strowlers from Seattle, US. Always impressed with the level of quality VFX in these webseries, people are really putting in their all.

Was lucky enough to sit on a panel where we talked about "VFX for Indie film" along side Chris Orchard or Orchard VFX, and Adam Stern of Artifex Studios. We discussed techniques and procedures that indie film makers can use to get some quality shots for their budgets.
And last but not least Sigil Digital's own Brewstars was nominated for Best Pilot.
Over all it was an amazing event put on by the wonderful Suzette Laqua and Paula Hoffman.

Another Sigil Digital production - Arthur's Gift
Filming has completed for the visionary teaser trailer for a much longer story about a young boy named Arthur who discovers that he has a supernatural ability in 1940's Brooklyn.
Written and Directed by Ryan Curtis, this proof of concept project was made to showcase what this intriguing story could look like on screen. A broad tale of intrigue, espionage and heroism with our main character who will be very familiar to many of our older viewers.

Sigil Digital was proudly chosen by Insight TV to be the provider of Visual Effects services for the 2018 Juno awards Cold Open with Micheal Buble.
Broadcast live across Canada we shot and delivered the VFX shots on an incredibly tight turn around and wow'ed audiences with a cheeky display of magical back stange antics. Directed by Mike Fly, VFX Supervision Ryan Curtis.
Also the opening DOES include doughnuts shot on Greenscreen.
Great news. Brewstars has been nominated for Best Pilot at VWF
It greats news that Brewstars will be viewed at the Vancouver Web Fest this April. Looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing our pilot so close to home.
Sigil Digital returns from Banff Media Festival
After Four exhaustive days at the Banff World Media Festival we have returned home buzzing with excitement. We got a chance to meet the leaders of the worlds biggest media companies, and to listen to enthralling and interesting talks on the emerging markets, and how to market and monetize projects in the new digital landscape.
We pitches lots of our projects around and got some interest that we will be following up on this week. Hopefully we will have good news to share with you. In the mean time here are some pictures of Banff.
