Sigil Digital adds comic book publishing
Sigil Digital is publishing comic books
Big round of applause for our launch title Slums of the Empire City. Slums is a Comic book series set in 1860’s New York and follows a plucky bunch of street criminals as they try to make it in the dog-eat-dog street of NYC. The first series will consist of 12 issues, with the first three issues already complete.
Sigil Digital is publishing this flagship initial comic book with the help of Kickstarter campaign.
“We’ve found the comic book industry (readers especially) flock to the crowd funding sites as they have found this the best place to pick up new and groundbreaking comic books. We LOVE the Creator-to-Reader pipeline as it creates a relationship that puts creators much closer to the fans and allows for a community feel around their stories.
After the Kickstarter run Sigil will publish titles through Digital means, foregoing the traditional paper distribution entirely. Although we will focus mostly on Digital, there are some opportunities to get your hands on paper copies of the comics. The first print run of the initial three comics will be available to Kickstarter backers who pledge at the higher tiers, and after the Kickstarter readers may order prints through a Print on demand service.
Sigil is already in talks for the it’s second Comic series, what is being called a “Noir Gothic Steampunk Western” which may be available in the new year. Sigil will continue the run of SLUMS with the success of the crowdfunding campaign.

The Order Season 2
It was a great honor to Supervise the Visual Effect for Netflix’s The Order. Bringing a pack of werewolves to life was so much fun, and something every VFX supervisors dreams of.
Below are two awesome VFX reels from the amazing vendors we used on Season 2 or Netflix’s The Order. We had lots of fun working with these companies and look forward to doing more with them in the future.
Van Helsing S4 - Nominated for 2020 Leo award for Best VFX.
Very happy to announce the nomination of our little show for Best VFX in a TV Series for Van Helsing S4. Our in house team of VFX artists slayed last year and was able to turn a meager budget into an amazing onscreen spectacular. Supervised by Ryan Curtis the team was able to pump out over 120 shots for episode 407 making it the biggest of the season. Very proud of my team for turning out such amazing work. It’s allowed us to compete with shows that have 3x or 4x the VFX budget that we do.
