It was a great honor to Supervise the Visual Effect for Netflix’s The Order. Bringing a pack of werewolves to life was so much fun, and something every VFX supervisors dreams of.
Below are two awesome VFX reels from the amazing vendors we used on Season 2 or Netflix’s The Order. We had lots of fun working with these companies and look forward to doing more with them in the future.
Van Helsing S4 - Nominated for 2020 Leo award for Best VFX.
Very happy to announce the nomination of our little show for Best VFX in a TV Series for Van Helsing S4. Our in house team of VFX artists slayed last year and was able to turn a meager budget into an amazing onscreen spectacular. Supervised by Ryan Curtis the team was able to pump out over 120 shots for episode 407 making it the biggest of the season. Very proud of my team for turning out such amazing work. It’s allowed us to compete with shows that have 3x or 4x the VFX budget that we do.
SCREENING CANCELLED - "My Victims of True Crime" premier at Badass Film Festival 2020
Great news and unfortunate news. Our little 48hr short was scheduled to screen as the opening movie of the World Premier of the headline feature at Badass Film Festival 2020, but unfortunately due to our little friend COVID-19 the event has been cancelled.
Although the screenings are cancelled BAFF will still hand out awards for the films and we are still contending for BEST WRITER award and look forward to maybe screen in the future events.
Sigil Digital releases the fan made trailer Arthur's Gift
Here is the long awaited trailer for our Fan Film Arthur’s Gift: An Origin Story.
Nintendo Switch Ad
Sigil Digital was asked to supervise the VFX shoot for a large Nintendo Switch commercial . It’s always amazing to work on commercials for products that we love to use.
Check out the extended Nintendo spot here.
Nominations and prizes for our 48hr Blood and Gutz horror contest
Sigil entered a team into the 2018 Blood and Gutz Horror film making contest. Of 40 teams each were tasked with writing, producing and finishing a horror type movie within 48hrs. There were three secret ingredients that we needed to incorporate that we only received at the last minute. It had to “Holiday” Themed, needed to showcase a Flashlight and we needed to have the phrase “What is that supposed to mean” in there some where.
We pulled together some old friends and shot Autumn 2006.
We were honored at the awards ceremony to find out not only that we were finalists but that we had been nominated for many awards.
Nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor (Pavel and Tyson), Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography and won the award for BEST DIRECTOR.
You can watch our silly little movie right here.
